This is an outstanding early automotive milk glass tin sign with unique colors and wonderful eye appeal. Rare and early DST (double sided tin) painted sign with milk glass letters. The sign features a unique original green and black color scheme with sponge like paint pattern. The field and edges have wear including small scratches and paint chips with areas of light oxidation around the "Sales & Service" wording. The milk glass letters are in very good condition. The reverse is in similar condition with a few errant paint drips in the field and repairs to the "D & S" milk glass letters. The lower edge has wear with a slight bend at the left corner. The bottom of the can is marked Chicago Sign Sales, Charlotte, N.C. Overall, an amazing and early milk glass sign from Hudson Essex. 44" H x 82.5" W x 8.75" D. Condition: 8.75 & 8.5.
