Scarce SSP (single sided porcelain) thermometer has excellent color and gloss. The tube is present however it is broken. The field is very clean overall with a small chip near the tube opening and a factory blemish in the lower field. The perimeter has fine scratches in the lower lettering, a chip at the upper mount hole and other small edge chips. Marked 5798. Overall a tough to find Old Chum porcelain thermometer with strong eye appeal. 39" H x 8" W. Condition: 9C.
