Description
Absolutely stunning and rare early litho from Pacific brewing. In the bottom right it says copyrighted 1903 and I think "by G W Gibson" under it. The bottom of the painting says Alpine Belle. Lower left is W H Mcentee. From what I have gathered a Swiss model was used in their early 1900's lithos, named Alpine Belle. Mcentee died in 1919. I've asked experts and this was the information given: "Never seen it before, but it is a legitimate pre-prohibition litho. If I had to take a guess, this may have been produced as a calendar right before they ceased operations during prohibition when they were forced to pivot from beer production into being a malting company. This piece might represent one of the final marketing efforts by the company before it was forced to shut down in 1916 due to Prohibition. There is a crease across the bottom 1/3, small tears on outer edges and one crease on Lower left. but the colors and clarity of the main graphic is absolutely stunning. No disappointments! 7.5.
