Description
Exceedingly rare OPC (one-piece cast) experimental globe with screw base and brass collar has excellent color. The globe features a unique die cut shape in the form of a fire chief hat. The field exhibits areas of repaint with discoloration to the "Fire Chief" lettering and a stress crack repair which proceeds from the left hand side of the hat to the lower right hand side of the base. The brass collar has a minor bend on the edge. Overall an amazing historically significant Texaco globe. Believed to be one of three known examples. 16" H. Condition: Original.
