Description
Nice Gulf Refining framed print with wood frame. The print is in nice condition with scattered areas of staining and discoloration throughout. The frame is in nice condition overall. This print came out of the Royster Oil Company office, which is still in business today. These incredible prints were given to distributors in the 1920s to show the power and scope of the Gulf Oil Company. After Pearl Harbor, Gulf was concerned the Japanese spies would find one of these prints and use it to destroy the refinery. The distributors were ordered to destroy these which is why few of them still exist. 20" H x 44" W. Condition: 8.
